2026 Music Vault Clear-out!

INTERVIEW: Adam Jacobs a.k.a. Jerk Star —

24 Hours After the Drop (1/16/2026)

HOWARD ON THE RADIO

Howard: Yesterday you released a new song, “I Feel Somethin’ Comin’. ”What’s the significance?

Jerk Star: That track is the first flare shot into the sky for what’s becoming my next album, Centillionaire, dropping May 15th, 2026. It’s the opening chapter. The “uh-oh, here we go” moment. A warning label with a melody.

Howard: You’ve called it a very personal release.

Jerk Star: Yeah. It’s a real piece of my inner library finally leaving the vault. I’m thankful as hell it’s out in the world. Grateful to everyone who listens. But also… I still maintain a healthy, professional relationship with not giving a damn what anyone expects it to be.

Howard: Rumor is you’re still deeply “involved” with your studio.

Jerk Star: Still entangled. Emotionally. Spiritually. Possibly legally. The studio and I are in a long-term, slightly toxic but very productive affair. We fight, we make up, we make songs. It’s beautiful.

Howard: You’ve also announced a pretty wild release schedule for 2026…

Jerk Star: Oh yeah. One new song. Every Friday. All year. No excuses. No gaps. No “artistic retreat” nonsense. Unless, of course, I die in some totally foreseeable, extremely cinematic motorcycle accident. Then the schedule might slip a week or two.

Howard: That escalated quickly.

Jerk Star: Look, I like to manage expectations.

Howard: Final thoughts on “I Feel Somethin’ Comin’”?

Jerk Star: It’s the first domino. It’s me saying thank you, here’s my heart, here’s my attitude, here’s the beginning of Centillionaire. Buckle up… apparently in more ways than one.

ALL or NOTHING

Releasing “All or Nothing” on Christmas Day was a leap of faith for me. These songs came from a very real place — written, recorded, and produced entirely by my own two hands — and once they were out in the world, they were no longer just mine.

Seeing so many of you take the time to listen, stream, share, and reach out has honestly meant more than I know how to put into words. Knowing that this music is landing with people, that it’s pleasing ears and hitting hearts, is the greatest gift I could’ve asked for.

To everyone who pressed play, sent a message, added a song to a playlist, or simply sat with the record for a moment — thank you. You’re the reason I keep doing this. You make the long nights, doubts, and risks worth it.

If this record moved you at all, do me a favor — spread the word. Share it with a friend, post a song, tell someone who loves real music made the hard way.

Who knows… maybe if it travels far enough, Marc Ford will hear it and call me up to front his band (right after those Lucinda Williams tours, of course 😏).

From the bottom of my heart,
thank you for riding with me.
